TRANSPARENT BUSINESS PRACTICES
Whistleblower system
As part of the Code of Conduct for Business
Partners, Wine Group has implemented a
whistleblower system that serves as a secure
and independent channel for reporting legal
violations, unethical behaviour, and other
critical issues.
The whistleblower platform allows anonymous reporting, ensuring confidentiality and
protection for whistleblowers.
Financial Crime Prevention
Wine Group operates in a luxury goods industry,
where wine gifts and experiences are highly
valued. The company recognises the importance
of preventing bribery and corruption to ensure
that business gifts do not compromise fair
competition.
Key measures to maintain financial transparency
include: Clear guidelines on the use of gifts and
experiences in customer and supplier relations.
Incorporating these policies into the Code of
Conduct for Employees, which is part of an online
learning platform where employees receive
annual training on identifying financial crime.
To reduce the risk of money laundering, Wine
Group has introduced cash payment limits
in physical stores. Additionally, all wine sales
are tracked through specific accounts, and
regular inventory audits help detect potential
discrepancies. Requiring justification for special
discounts, free bottles, or extended payment
terms, with ongoing monitoring.
Ensuring employee purchases are processed by
a colleague rather than the individual making the
purchase reinforces transparency.
This year we have received
Access to the Whistleblower System:
reports through the
whistleblower system.
