Code of Conduct for Business Partners
Policy Administration
Purpose and Scope
During this fiscal year, we introduced the first
Code of Conduct for Business Partners. Wine
Group’s suppliers, agents, subcontractors,
customers, and other stakeholders have a
direct or indirect impact on the climate and
surrounding society.
We expect the same high standards from our
business partners as we set for ourselves.
Therefore, they are required to sign and
comply with our Code of Conduct for Business
Partners. The purpose of our Code of Conduct
is to minimise risks for both people and the
environment while ensuring that all business
partners adhere to: National and international
laws and UN and ILO guidelines on human rights
and labour conditions.
We require that all business partners provide a
healthy, safe, and hygienic workplace, respect
children’s rights, and treat their employees with
dignity and fairness.
Our procurement managers are responsible for
monitoring and updating the Code of Conduct in
collaboration with the procurement department.
Forced labour, slavery, human trafficking, or child
labour must not exist at any level of the business
partner’s supply chain.
The executive management team approves the
final version. The Code of Conduct is distributed
to both existing and new business partners and is
publicly available on our website.
Violations may result in contract
termination.
Once signed, the document is stored in our
House of Control system.
For new business partners, the Code of Conduct
is part of our verification process. If a new
business partner refuses to sign our Code of
Conduct or does not present their own policy
that meets the same minimum requirements, we
cannot establish a business relationship.
Our Code of Conduct is built on trust,
honesty and respect.
When we visit a business partner, we continuously
ensure that our agreements are upheld.
