ODENSE CLIMATE PARTNERSHIP
Climate change demands action, and the H.J.
Hansen Group is a proud co-founder of the
Odense Climate Partnership.
The partnership brings together companies from
various industries to promote sustainable solutions
and support Odense Municipality’s goal of climate
neutrality by 2030.
As part of our membership, we are
committed to reducing our CO 2 -footprint.
In 2024/2025, the group will set a CO2-reduction
target for the group’s own processes (Scope 1)
and purchased energy (Scope 2).
Climate Activists
ESG report 2023/2024
For the coming year, climate activists are focusing on a
number of projects, including:
Digital waste: Reducing unused files, minimising
printing, and encouraging the use of links
instead of attachments.
Biodiversity: Developing policies and establishing
green areas at company locations.
Plasic bags: Investigating more environmentally
friendly alternatives for Wine Group.
The green transition starts from within, and at H.J.
Hansen Group, employees play a central role in driving
sustainable change. Through collaboration with the
Odense Climate Partnership, employees have had the
opportunity to become climate ambassadors, gaining
practical tools to implement positive changes in daily
operations. Ten employees have already completed
the training and formed the Climate Activists group—a
team dedicated to turning ideas into action through
concrete initiatives and projects.

The group’s ambition is to inspire and engage
colleagues across the company, ensuring that
sustainability becomes embedded in the company
culture. Their efforts focus on small but impactful
initiatives, making it easier for everyone to contribute to
the green agenda.
Canteens: Increasing the use of organic and
Fairtrade products while optimising services and
processes.
These initiatives are just the beginning. The Climate
Activists aim to create small waves of change that
will grow and support the H.J. Hansen Group’s vision
of a greener future.
